I'm torn honestly.

I'm at this weird inbetween where I want classic feeling maps like Der Riese or so in size and scope.

Because I absolutely would say all three of the N4 maps are at least in the bottom 5 maps on my list of preferences.

However, I loved al the objectives and gameplay rewards linked to the puzzles in Origins and MotD.

So I guess I want a map with a simple design and just stoked full of optional objectives?

I don't know anymore. Just bring back Double Tap 2 and give us a Double Tap 3 so that those two perks and Pack a Punch can make any gun a killer into the low 50s.

I honestly need to see much more gameplay, and even then I probably will just have to play it a few times to get a feel for it.

Also the ghost didn't have a round. You just kinda activated her when you went into her house and the lights were on.

Also SHUT YOUR TRAP ENGLUND WAS MY FAVORITE COTD CHARACTER!

-Actors are great and it doesn't appear they'll be returning in the next map.

I think it's too early to say that yet. I know so far these appear to be a MotD/CotD type of crew, but isn't it strange, if that is the case, that we're getting that map on-disc this time around?

Not really. It's better marketing for the actors as well. Not everyone gets the DLCs, but everyone and their brother will get the latest COD and play zombies. Then everyone will be like : Oh hey that's Ron Pearl man he's the actor from that game... You know the zombies one... Because I'm too young and uncultured to see Hellboy.

Worked on my little sister. She didn't know WHO Fidel castro was before I showed her "five".

I'm looking forward to it honestly. I was a little worried when they announced The Giant that it would start a trend of remaking zombie maps, which I do not want. I already don't like that they remake maps for MP, and I find it bit lazy (except for Nuketown, kinda seems like tradition and a staple at this point). But I'm glad they said they had no plans to do more. I want new and exciting locations, not revisits.
I'm also hoping they don't return to the Der Riese formula. Which is just 3 teleporters to open PaP. While the layout is fun, I just find it incredibly boring. It's one aspect of BO2 I preferred over BO1.

We should hold judgement on the Giant before we say we don't want more remakes. It completely depends on how much work they put in to it.

If it's an almost literal copy and paste, then yeah we don't need that, but if it's a complete reimagining, than it would be great imo.

Rissole thank you for making sense.

If I had to guess it's going to be a VERY similar lay-out, but there'll be more items like maybe a wonderfizz, a gum-ball machine, some buildables, few interactive sections, just enough you know?

If the gameplay will be anything like Origins or MotD we are in for a treat.

@MegaAfroMan I would love a mix of the Der Riese clone style and BO II zombies.

Get the best of both worlds and combine it to the sickest game mode ever, Treyarch.

That's what BO3 appears to be so far, they're taking the best aspects of games:

-Titan-fall's movement

-Destiny's specialist

-Futuristic treyarch weaponry

-Hell based map from MOTD in BO2

-Origins characters based map set in the past like Origins from BO2

-Multiplayer campaign (WAW)

-Beta (WAW)

And mixing them together.
It's a good strategy few people appreciate.

Im pretty sure I saw somewhere, "The Giant" is a complete re-imagining of Der Reise. Although the layout will be fairly familiar.

Hopefully, Odin, Freya, or Thor will make an appearance. Possibly even a Prototype...

Well.... No, Origins is set in 1918, the giant is confirmed to be in the late 40s.

You don't keep a prototype giant robot around for 30 years, you build BETTER ONES.

i wouldn't be surprised if it is like that, but hopefully there is more added. New perks, a new area or two, and of course from the trailer it looks like the whole tone of the map is changed. It's less broken down, looks newer I guess would be the proper word for the aesthetic.
