Dr. Montys note

So there is scraps in The Giant that make Dr. Montys note. a KN-44 in what looks to be a summoning key, (a metaphor perhaps?) Maybe this is how rich got the idea for getting the Summoning key. Inside it is holding a weapon. On the sides it looks like planets, and a worm hole (time travel?) Who is Dr. Monty? What does this mean? and what exactly can the summoning key do? I feel like this is going to a huge object in the story.

Whatever it is... It could derive from the Quantum Entanglement device? Where am I getting that notion from? Haha.

Ah thank you, this is the first image of this i have seen with that corner and one that I am able to zoom in on.
