References to the 115 excavator besides the comic?

Seriously, are we every gonna figure out what the hell is going on the comic screen or at least who is doing the excavating, or how they managed to build a giant floating spaceship thing to drill 115 from the Sedan Crater? Sure, it could be the U.S. but how exactly do we know WHEN they're doing this?

It's in Origins, shown as a concept essentially, so if it's dating back to 1918 then how many times has it been used?

Frankly that's not too high on the list of mysteries right now.  Much like the "HARRP" note found in SNN, the 115 excavator hasn't turned up very much sense Origins, and thus it's been forgotten as it's insignificant compared to more pressing issues like the summoning key, gobble gums, Dr. Monty, and the children.

There's a long list of forgotten aspects we can't begin to revisit, ranging from Richtofen's Illuminati connections, to Die Rise's "Great Leap Forward" name.

I honestly question how the name of "Great Leap Forward" for Die Rise is a forgotten aspect (I know that it was an industrialistic and socialistic movement in china around the mid-1950's and early 1960's that raised steel/iron manufacturing and ushered in collective farming, albeit killing millions from poverty, famine, and general sickness... I know the essentials to the Great Leap Forward like the back of my hand)...

But I digress. I get what you're saying here.

We'll find out when they tell us what the hell is going on with Nacht der Untoten's loading screen. :p

For reals though, I enjoyed Der Eisendrache for answering a lot of past questions and bringing a past 935 member back. I'm hoping Treyarch does this with the future DLC and answer some of these questions.

We have a illustration of the drill in Origins but this does not mean that the drill was created in 1918,

all what we have is a project, a project by group 935 so we actually know that this is a project

designed in the 1918 but probably they realized the drill years later.

An answer could be that traveling in the time with teleports they got enough technology

to create a so sophisticated machine but yes we don't know yet in which timeline that illustration

from the comic book is located, all we could say for now is it maybe be by 60's to earlier years

since the Doctor Schuster who's managing the drill was killed on Moon around 1960

but is just a consideration nothing certain
