Gun Swapping Order

Can you switch back and forth between two weapons without having to hold the third gun? As far as I know, you have to cycle through all the weapons in one direction (gun1, gun2, gun3). Is there a way to switch direction of  cycle order (gun1, gun2, gun1, gun2, gun3)? In Shadows of Evil, I want to switch between my two regular weapons, most the time, without pulling out the Squid Gun.

There is no way to do this. The closts thing to this is on Zetsubou No Shima, if you have the KT4, you can press left on the D-Pad to switch to it even if it is not the next weapon with Mule Kick. As far as I know this is the only place it happens.
