Ok, so I was scanning the Area 51 article on Wikipedia for anything zombies-related, when under the "see also" section I found a place called Kapustin Yar. It turns out that his was a Russian rocket launch and developnet base that grew into a cosmodrome in 1966. Kapustin Yar is notable for using captured tech and science from defeated Germany, launching rockets, and having UFO sightings. It's also interesting that it was totally secret; it was never put on any maps and was inaccessable to the outside world for the most part. It's basically Russia's answer to Area 51.

The only thing though is that all of the pics I've found of the base don't look like Ascension. What do you guys think?
